Thank you for taking the time to visit our school website. I am sure it will provide valuable insight into the unique school we are in Arusha and Tanzania. We aim to offer the highest standards of education within a multicultural and international environment.
Having arrived at St. Constantine’s almost 17 years ago, it has been striking to see the school grow in terms of infrastructure, staff and student numbers to become the largest international school in Northern Tanzania. I have fond memories of many students and teachers that have made St. Constantine’s school such a reputable institution. The level of guidance and care that is offered to each student is impressive and reflects the nature of a school that strives to support individuals in reaching their potential.
St. Constantine’s Secondary School provides a well-rounded education, where students are encouraged to explore the world around them and are challenged to go out of their comfort zones. The Secondary School has an excellent Pastoral Care system. Tutors support students throughout their time in the Secondary School. While each Tutor has an overview of a whole group of tutees on a daily basis, each Tutor conducts regular follow-up with each student in their group. This environment helps to provide necessary pastoral support, as well as aid students to reach their potential and achieve their educational goals.
The curriculum in the Secondary School provides the building blocks for academic success. Students are taught in small manageable classes where they receive recognition as individual learners and encouraged to explore the world around them. Our senior students are offered a range of subjects to choose from that lead to IGCSE and A Level qualifications.
The school has excellent resources to support students in their activities away from the classroom. We boast the finest maintained and most beautiful sporting grounds including football fields, cricket and rugby pitch, basketball, volleyball, netball and tennis courts, and a 25-metre swimming pool.
Round Square IDEALS (Internationalism, Democracy, Environmental awareness, Adventure, Leadership and Service) are central to the values we instil in the young people under our care. These IDEALS represent what we, as a community, aspire to achieve. Through this we believe we are developing young people to help them meet both the demands of modern education and life beyond school.
