Kizazi Kipya

USAID five year project of Orphans and Vulnerable children (OVC), HIV focused.

It is contributing to the UNAIDS 90.90.90 strategy to ensure 90% of people living with HIV know their status: 90% of all people diagnosed with HIV infection receive sustainable antiviral therapy; 90% of all people receiving ART attain viral suppression.

PACT is the prime partner and sub granted ELCT health department to implement Vunja Ukimya project in two Districts of Arusha City and Arusha District.

Core activities:

Working with health facilities in ensuring referrals from the community are well handled, documented and reported.

  • Initiation of referral to access services to other services including health, social, economic, legal and nutritional support, through the use of community volunteers
  • Household visit, need identification and care planning and provision of education, counseling, mobilization of caregivers to join income generating activities.
  • Linking beneficiaries with other service providers available in implementation coverage, including religious institutions.
  • Identification of cases of gender based violence, including violence against children and ensure all required services are accessed easily, in here we work very with social welfare, police and the court.
